Annual Tax Update
Presenter:
John Foote
, Expert Tax Group
John will present changes in the tax laws that may have an impact on consultants.
After the end of the calendar year most aspects of taxation are "set in stone".
Tax rates are known, credit parameters are set, deduction limits and details cannot be changed. But for consultants several tax items can still be controlled.
The purpose of this seminar is to give the consultant information about those aspects of income tax (bracket amounts, credits, deductions, etc) which are known and will apply when preparing taxes for the just closed 2013 tax year. As importantly, if not more so, the seminar focuses on elements that can still be used to adjust taxable income such as retirement contributions.
In addition various aspects of the economy and forecasts for the coming year are addressed for planning purposes, as are aspects of taxation that will affect tax year 2014.
In order to promote a professional atmosphere, attire is business casual for all attendees.
